A grand day of journeying along the course of the River Kinder. From it’s confluence with the River Sett in Hayfield, we explore upstream local landmarks, the fairy bridge, woodland, plunge pools, waterfalls and mythology. We then trace a route across the Kinder Plateau, through the maze of cloughs to find the source of the River Kinder and true summit.

2026 gives us one of the best solar eclipse viewing opportunities in the UK for years. With 90% coverage of the sun. Sunset is soon after the end of the eclipse there will be a prolonged twilight adding a special atmosphere to this rare event. From our hilltop vantage point, you’ll enjoy a tasty buffet accompanied by refreshing sundowners and hot drinks. Join us for a wonderful celebration of this celestial display.
